We teach you to improvise with cloth, belts, and boards you already have, so you are not helpless when no medical kit is nearby.
You do not just watch. You bandage, splint, and roll manikins into the recovery position until the movements feel natural.

A look at the kind of job we are called out for across Jamaica.

We start with how to check for danger, see what happened, and decide whether it is safe for you to approach the person.
You cover the ABCs of first aid, how to call for help properly, and what information to give the emergency services.
You work through each injury type, taking turns to be the helper and the patient, using bandages, splints, and manikins.
We put you in realistic situations where you have to decide what to do, then talk through your choices as a group.

The point of training is to replace panic with a clear plan. You practise the steps until your hands know what to do even when your mind is racing.
No jargon and no complicated equipment. We focus on what actually works in a real emergency, using things you can find around you.
We talk about the situations you are likely to meet here, from road accidents to heat exhaustion, and how to get help in our communities.
EMT-Emergency Medical TechnicianThe Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Programme is a comprehensive and professionally structured training course designed to prepare participants to function effectively as first responders in both emergency medical and traumatic situations. EMTs serve as the vital link between the scene of an emergency and the healthcare system, delivering immediate life-saving care that often determines patient survival and recovery outcomes. EMTs respond to a wide range of emergencies — including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, shock, hemorrhage, fractures, and other medical or trauma-related incidents. Through systematic assessment and evidence-based interventions, EMTs identify and manage life-threatening conditions affecting airway, breathing, and circulation (the ABCs of life support).View details
